Yesterday was filled with so much. Aniyah’s (my niece) 5th birthday and her pool party was yesterday in Florida. It made me sad because I always plan every birthday party for her and I wasn’t there (in person anyways). I made my mom pull up the Skype as they sung her Happy Birthday.
The cake looked amazing. My sister and mom did such a great job putting the cake and cupcakes together. I made all the pieces/toppers from here and shipped them. This was a HUGE test for my sister. Usually I end up doing all the decor on my own, but this time she stepped up and made the cake and cupcakes look so GREAT!
I’m suppose to be getting more pics in my inbox soon. I’ll keep you posted.

My other niece Teagen’s tooth came out at the apple orchard. Epic. She bit into an apple and there it was… lol
Made 2 cakes for my brother, Kris, birthday today. One a Heinz Ketchup bottle b/c he is a freak and loves to put ketchup on everything and the other his Lexus IS 350, b/c he is also a car fanatic. This will be the first birthday I have ever had a chance of spending with him. I feel so blessed. Happy Birthday KRIS!!! Love you.
p.s. I look like blah in the photo b/c I’ve been in the kitchen all day. Don’t judge me. lol

This Friday I will be getting on a plane to visit some ohana in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Hopefully while I’m there I’ll get some orders. *fingers crossed. I will also be taking out my camera for the first time in years (see folio here). The things I want to do are;
- -loose 15-20lbs
- -photograph everything
- -smile more
- -sew stuff
- -bake stuff

On top of all the cakes I had to fit into this one weekend. I had my sister-in-law, Chanda, bake my Pineapple upside down cake for all of us to share together.

… and last but not least the last cake that I had to decorate was my baby brothers cake. My brother Kris’s wife, aka my sister-in-law, Aly helped me decorate the cake. Keinrick (b/f) drew out the awesome graffiti “Jarvis” for me to trace with the fondant. Jarvis turned the BIG 16 on the 5th. He was gone all day on his birthday, so we didnt get to sang him his birthday song. So we celebrated as a family yesterday.
I based the cake on some of the things he loves… music, playstation, food…you know the typical teenage boy life loves.

The next cake that was due on Sunday was a 40th birthday party cake. Its vanilla and chocolate cake with chocolate and vanilla buttercream. Shamia, the client who ordered the cake was so sweet, really easy to work with. Love when customers let you basically do what you want., LOVES IT.
When I dropped the cake off, I got a lot of good reviews, a some potential orders (fingers crossed)
With the massive amount of cake orders this week. I did a Hawaiian theme birthday cake, vanilla and chocolate cake and buttercream. My sister in laws, niece 2nd birthday was last week and they had a birthday party planned for Saturday, so of course my sister in law orders the cake on Friday. lol. Usually I need at least 4 days in advance when ordering a cake, but family exceptions of course.
This past week was a mountain of cake orders. I was so overwhelmed. I know I could have shot some orders down, but what can I say I LOVE CAKE. :)
This is a cake my sister and myself worked on for my cousin Ashley, who came into town for the week. My sister did an amazing job on the detail work. Red velvet cake with cream-cheese butter-cream on the inside. Ashley is into the Goth, and my Aunt sent me a pic of a cake she saw online of a black coffin cake and wanted that for Ashleys bday cake. FYI: We did not copy the cake in exact. The only same things we did were the black coffin and big flowers. everything else was our idea.
