I’m so tired I can barely see straight. For the past 3 months I’ve been planning my sisters baby shower non stop. All I want is some sleep :( 

But on the greener side of the grass I did some orders a couple days back. I think I’m going to open up my own site shop, because the Etsy shop I have has limitations of what I can list.

Any ideas?

This past coming week I received a msg from one of my favorite customers. Her sons 2nd Subway birthday party was featured on Amy Atlas blog FOR THE 2ND TIME!!! (read last years post) It gives me so much joy to know that I was apart of making her event so purrty. 

This is the 2nd time I’ve been featured on Amy Atlas. I’m such a groupy for her work. My toppers mean so much to me and this just makes me feel even more validated.

I have not posted this week for the reason that this has been a down fall for  all of America this past couple of days. 

Our prayers and love goes to the victims of this senseless act. May God lay, those who have past, in peace.  And our prayers go to those who know no better. May you ask for forgiveness from God and surrender for the greater good. 

This week was especially stressful for me with my morning job and some orders. But like with any path you choose in life you must keep pushing through. 

I’m so happy though that I finished all of my orders and now have time to relax… small amount of time though :\ Because I have to work on planning for my sisters baby shower. 

I already have the cake, cupcakes, and almost all the sweets for the sweet table mapped out, but I’m missing one of the most important parts of any baby shower (besides the cake)… the location. I’m really trying to stay on a budget for this event, but everywhere I look the rental fee is $500 or more. And that is just wayyyy beyond the idea I was thinking. But I will for sure continue to look… I have to because the shower is about 2 months away!

I spent the majority of my day yesterday creating new toppers for my shop. Which is really nice because anytime that I get to spend working on my shop is great. 

At the moment our apartment smells like yummy chocolate. That’s because I’m making another chocolate raspberry ganche cake for my sister in laws celebration dinner today. Nothing big, just a simple delicious cake.

Keinrick is back from his 3 day trip. So yesterday I made him a very moist delicious chocolate raspberry ganache cake. I’m on a 30 day diet so I only got to eat a very small slice. But boy was that small piece the BIZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

It was so hard for me to not lick my fingers as I took the batter out of the bowl. Now the cake is in the fridge and its taunting me to go in there and cut myself a slice. :\

But any who.. I made this cake for him because he took a leap of faith and I couldn’t be more proud of him. 

I can not wait for the day when creating and decorating cakes becomes my only source of income. I really need to get on the ball with getting my business plan together. All I think about all day every day is cake decorating. I mean I love to bake, but my heart is in the design work. Its like everything I’ve learned up until now has lead me to this particular career.

I’m so excited for spring. I can’t wait to go swimming. Boy is it humid outside. I’ve been working on practicing my flowers. Not an easy task. Next year ill be entering in a cake contest so I’d like to get myself to a more advance level.
In the meantime I’ve been watching YouTube vids and looking through wedding magazines to improve myself.

I thought it would be super cute for me to show you how to create a baby unicorn using fondant. This is perfect to top off cupcakes and even a cake.

I know it’s a long video, but I tend to talk super fast when I explain things, so I took my time here :|

Materials Needed:
Fondant (your choice of color )
Exacto knife
Paint brush
Water or Tylose water mixture ( serves as glue)
Wilton’s tool #4 & #5
Rolling pin
Flower cutter (smaller the better)
Scalloped cookie cutter (1”)
